The T4. Academy

Everything we know about the T4. Academy - in one place - for you!

Breakdown of

Jiu Jitsu Classes

Primary (Ages 6 - 11)

The primary program provides structured classes,
mixed in with training games where students are improving attributes such as:

Co-ordination, problem solving and grit.

Secondary (Ages 11 - 15)

The Secondary program blends technical Jiu Jitsu with sparring games that refine the application of Jiu Jitsu.

This develops key attributes such as:
Confidence, determination, leadership and strategy.

Core Jiu Jitsu

The core classes are a Train4. staple!

These sessions provide simple yet effective Jiu-Jitsu with fundamental concepts.

This is a balanced class for all levels.

Technical Jiu Jitsu

Our technical classes focus on visiting systems and more complex techniques.

Improved co-ordination and dexterity are recommended for these lessons.

Woman's Only

Whilst there's no "Woman's Only" techniques - there is however, a safe space for those who may be more comfortable with like-minded people.

This class is about helpful Jiu Jitsu techniques, decent music and good vibes.

Whilst this class is available for females only,
it is ultimately designed to be a supplementary aid to help you feel more comfortable and successful in some of the other classes.

Open Mat Sessions

Open mat is a Jiu Jitsu classic.
The history of Jiu Jitsu is testing your art against other opponents that you don't usually train with, to improve your own game!

This is a great way to meet other Jiu Jitsu friends and learn new moves!

Off the mat

Camps and Workshops

If you're wanting to get an overall understanding before tackling the other classes our beginners Jiu Jitsu Camps are - by far - the best way to start!

Keep an eye out for both 'Core' AND 'Technical' Camps for all levels!

We provide an in depth 'BJJ for MMA' Fight Camps on booking for those on the lead up to a fight.
This is done by, with and through your fight camp coaches - So be sure to contact us if interested.

For centuries, people all over the world have been claiming to sell "Delf-Defense Classes".

In these workshops, we leave 'offensive maneuvers' to the Jiu Jitsu classes and facilitate sensible sessions on de-escalation, situational awareness and teamwork.

Available for corporate bookings.

No idea, but:

All the gear

Kimono

The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Kimono ads the use of the uniform to the martial art.

It changes the dynamic of the sport and is crucial to having a full Jiu Jitsu experience.

Plus, it gives you something to tie your belt around.

Rash Guards

One of the best improvements you can make to your Jiu Jitsu game?

Swapping your T-Shirt for a Rash guard! Increased mobility, more breathable, more hygienic, makes you look like a superhero.

Club Tees

Every community needs a staple T-shirt! Perfect for repping to or from training, and sure does look cooler than filling up at the petrol station with your Gi on!

Fight Shorts

The best thing about Nogi classes?

Cool fight short designs!
No Pockets!

Awesome!

Patch Kits

Started at a different gym, or maybe you have your own Gi from online and want to put a Train4. patch on it.

We have them too - ask in store!

Sticker Pack

As strange as it sounds, we have put a lot of effort into getting good quality stickers.

We were sick of colors that faded in the sun or overtime.

It's safe to say that these sticker packs meet that mark.

The Yamanto

Facilities

Change Room

We have a changeroom available at the academy, and Gi's to use for those who are just getting started.

We ask members to take all items out of the changerooms and use the provided lockers for storage throughout the classes.

Mats

The mats are a premium Tatami 2m (x) 1m, 40mm.

These are thick for a Jiu Jitsu mat but is fast becoming the general standard.

We have matched that while making sure the mat density remained.

We've put a lot of forethought into the set up of the mat, please respect the space by considering the following:

1. No shoes on the mats
2. Wipe your feet at the designated cleaning stations prior to walking on the mats
3. Shoes back on - when exiting the mat space.

Thanks!

Toilets

The facility has (3) toilets at the site which are well lit and accessible.

We ask that children are supervised by parents and all patrons are mindful of cleanliness - it is a shared space after all.

DO NOT enter the toilet facility without shoes.

Parking

The academy is situated within a carpark - this is handy - however:

We simply ask that everyone considers road safety, and that parents are monitoring children.

Language

We are a family friendly academy and hold the right to ask any person (member or otherwise) to vacate the premises if poor behavior is identified.

This is at the Academy Managers discretion so please refrain from reasonably inappropriate language as a base line.

Thankyou and we appreciate you adding value to the community.

Nails and Hygiene

We're going to go ahead and say it - no-one appreciates a smelly Gi and/or Body Oduor!

Clean your gear after each workout, wash yourself prior to class, and don't be the training partner that scratches everyone!
Cut your nails!

Lastly, a minty or some chewing gum is a great item to keep in your training bag to help with any bad breath.

Good training partners

If your group is at a physically higher level than another group, you are responsible for not landing on the other group.

If you lift someone up, you are responsible for a safe descent.

If you see someone on their own, invite them to your group.

Make the rolling component fun for your partner - remember: not everyone wants to get beat up all the time.

Speak up

If for any reason you feel unsure, speak up.

In a world where people are becoming addicted to social media, we are forgetting how to be social.

Remember, everyone at Train4. is part of the welcoming community - discuss your perspective with others and together we can go further!
